Balance of Power:

Single-player needs no account. Online play requires sign-in.
01 / Watch the film
A new world order starts with you.
33 seconds · captions included · nothing downloads until you press play.
02 / A multipolar world
Choose your place in the balance.
Command the United States, Russia or China in a turn-based geopolitical strategy game set in the modern world. Every country and territory is represented, from major powers to small island states. Diplomacy, economic dependence and military commitments shape who stands with you.
Or start as India, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Brazil or Iran. Invest in your economy and armed forces, expand your relationships and work toward becoming another superpower. A federated European Union can introduce a new center of power.
03 / More than military might
Power has more than one currency.
Trade & economic diplomacy
Invest in international trade and economic aid to grow GDP and spending power. Use sanctions and embargoes to apply pressure, while balancing inflation and disruption at home.
Alliances & intervention
Build defensive pacts or offensive alliances. Recruit members, set contributions and compare collective military strength before launching an invasion. Back governments or rebels in active conflicts.
Intelligence & crisis management
Watch unrest, civil wars and changing governments. Respond to cyber incidents, review rival actions and negotiate confrontations before military escalation risks nuclear catastrophe.
04 / Your campaign
A long game.
A different world every turn.
Play an eight-year campaign, extend it to twenty years or keep going without a calendar cutoff. Choose a baseline 2026 world or a curated current-events opening, then let your decisions change what happens next.
Single-player strategy
Play against computer-controlled powers without creating an account. Export your campaign to a file and import it later, including ongoing crises.
Online multiplayer
Create a commander profile, meet players in the lobby and invite friends. Online matches save progress as turns are played.
05 / The original inspiration
Classic geopolitical tension. A new world order.
Balance of Power: New World Order is a modern adaptation inspired by Chris Crawford’s Balance of Power: The 1990 Edition. It brings that tradition of diplomacy, prestige and dangerous brinkmanship into a multipolar setting. Contemporary scenario values and modern mechanics are designer estimates, not measured statistics or a bit-for-bit reproduction of the original game. The current-events scenario is curated, not a live news feed.
